Celsius... My Choice for a Pre-Workout Refreshment
A few months ago, November 2010, I was introduced to Celsius at the Women's Half Marathon in St Petersburg Florida. I instantly fell in love with the refreshing flavor and taste. So I started to ask questions... What is it, what does it do, how will it help me, what are the side effects???

What is Celsius? This is a healthy alternative to a pre-workout drink. Sold in the health food sections of most stores where I have found the product, Celsius is loaded with vitamins, does not contain artificial flavoring, no sugar, and is only 10 calories. I particularly like the carbonated Orange and the non-carbonated Strawberry Kiwi flavors. (You can also find Cola, Ginger Ale, Wild Berry, Peach Mango, Raspberry Acai, and Lemon Iced Tea flavors.)

What does Celsius do, and how will it help? Taken as a pre-workout drink, the unique formula (MetaPlus) helps you to burn calories, reduce fat, engage your metabolism, and will provide long lasting energy. I have used this drink before every endurance race since November (Women's Half, Palm Beaches, Miami ING, and Fort Lauderdale A1A). I also drink one every morning before leaving the house. Pre-Workouts are my favorite time to drink a Celsius, but I have been known to grab one in the middle of the day as a quick pick me up. I like the flavor and the ingredients much better than a Red Bull or Monster. (As with all changes in a diet or workout plan, I suggest consulting with your doctor first. I did!)
What are the side effects? Well, I have not seen any so far. I have had a Celsius just before a tough workout, in the midst of a very long tough workout, before swimming, before biking, before running... I have not noticed any jittery feelings, no heart fluctuations, no shaking etc... all those side effects I have encountered with Redline, Red Bull, and Monster. I really like the different flavors, although I am not a fan of the Raspberry Acai at all (that just does nothing for me).
The final and most important question: Where can I get Celsius? You can find just about anything online. However, you can also find Celsius in your local Publix, Target, Walgreen's, CVS, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, etc... Click here to locate a store near you and good luck with your workouts...
